RIDE SCOTLANDS
HIDDEN TRAIL'S
THE ABERDEENSHIRE EPIC
The Aberdeenshire Epic is a 5-day guided and coached mountain bike experience designed for riders who want to explore Scotland’s most underrated riding destination while leveling up their skills. With a World Cup level racer as your guide and coach, this trip blends unforgettable trails with quality accommodation, daily breakfast and lunch, full support on and off the bike - including coaching, transfers, professional bike setup, and media to take home. Every detail is taken care of, so you can focus on the ride.
Why the Aberdeenshire Epic?
Designed for riders who value quality, progression, and the joy of riding truly exceptional trails, this trip blends expert coaching with carefully selected enduro terrain - from flowing granite descents in Ballater to most fresh singletrail in all of Scotland at Drumtochty and sculpted lines in Tarland.
Every aspect of the trip has been considered — not just the riding, but the experience as a whole. You’ll be guided by a local World Cup-level rider with in-depth knowledge of the trail network and terrain. Coaching is tailored to your goals, with pro-level support, individual bike setup, and video feedback all included.
Daily transfers to the trails, comfortable local accommodation, hearty breakfasts, and on-trail lunches ensure each day runs smoothly, so all you need to focus on is the riding. You'll leave not just with new skills and great memories, but with professional-quality media from the trip and a custom Dialled In goodie bag.
This is more than just a mountain bike holiday — it’s a chance to immerse yourself in world-class Scottish riding, refine your technique, and experience the thrill of a true enduro adventure, delivered with care and detail from start to finish.
Five Locations. Five Distinct Experiences.
Each day of the Aberdeenshire Epic offers something truly unique. The five riding areas - Tarland, Ballater, Aboyne, Pitfichie, and Drumtochty - have been handpicked for their variety and quality of trails. Together, they form a curated journey through Aberdeenshire’s most iconic enduro terrain.
From the granite-laced flow trails of Ballater to the high-speed technical descents at Pitfichie, every location presents a different riding style, landscape, and flavour of Scottish mountain biking. One day you might be dropping into sculpted switchbacks through a pine forest, the next navigating rocky ridgelines with panoramic views across the Cairngorms. Tarland and Aboyne deliver with new-school lines built for progression and rhythm. Meanwhile, Drumtochty delivers a distinctive blend of character and pace - with ancient woodland trails that weave through moss-covered trees, offering the most technical trails and that one-more-run feeling everytime you finish a run.
Each ride is paired with most popular food stops in that area (trust me, I have tried them) - from quality local cafés to relaxed post-ride dining. With the flexibility to adapt to weather and trail conditions, the schedule is designed to make sure every location is experienced at it's very best, allowing each day to feel considered, unrushed, and rewarding.
This isn’t just about variety - it’s about delivering five distinct riding experiences that each leave their own impression, all within the same unforgettable trip.
